hello — I’m arastu.

I’m an engineering leader who still thinks like a backend engineer. Over the last fifteen years I’ve worked across marketplaces, fintech, ride-hailing, and developer platforms — building backend systems, modernizing monoliths into microservices, and leading teams through the quieter work of making large systems more reliable, more scalable, and a little easier to trust.

This blog is mostly for me. A place to slow down and think on paper about the things I’ve broken and fixed. If any of it is useful to you, that’s a bonus.
