a first post, after years of not posting
Why I'm finally writing things down in a place that isn't a notebook or a Slack DM.
I’m writing this with no particular plan, which is new for me. For a long time I thought the reason I didn’t have a blog was that I didn’t know what it would be about. I’ve decided that was never the problem.
The problem was that I was waiting to have opinions worth publishing, and I was waiting for the design to be done, and I was waiting for a week with enough time, and none of those things were ever coming. So here we are, with none of them.
This is going to be notes. Mostly about work — the kind of quiet debugging and systems thinking that I do for a living. Sometimes about the work of working. No promises about cadence. No newsletter.
